At age 15 Andy Weir started working as a software engineer for a national laboratory and still works there today. He is an expert in all things science and has a well versed knowledge in multiple science fields. The Martian is his first book and has grown commercial and critical success, so much success that is has been adapted into a movie directed by Ridley Scott.
